Séché Environnement appoints Pierre-Yves Burlot to develop the Group's environmental policy

In order to meet the ever-growing environmental challenges of waste treatment and recovery, Pierre-Yves Burlot, Head of the recovery plan at the French ecological transition agency (ADEME) and former advisor at the cabinet of the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition, joins Séché Environnement as Sustainable Development Director starting January 2021.

Pierre-Yves Burlot has a dual background in economics, at the Institute of Business Administration in Nantes, and in sustainable development at the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées. He began his career as a project analyst in the field of energy. He then joined ADEME where he became Deputy Head of Department in charge of innovation. In February 2019, he joined the cabinet of Brune Poirson, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition, as technical advisor in charge of circular economy and green finance issues. In 2020, he was appointed head of the recovery plan at ADEME, responsible for the development and deployment of support mechanisms for ecological transition.

and decontamination services, strongly committed to environmental issues, Pierre-Yves Burlot will be in charge of the Group’s environmental strategy worldwide. He will report to Maxime Séché, the Group’s Chief Executive Officer.

R-PAS-Wärmenetz: Wenn die Industrie Straßburg dekarbonisiert

Das R-PAS-Wärmenetz im Hafen von Straßburg nutzt seit 2021 die sogenannte "fatale" Wärme des Blue Paper-Standorts. Dank der zusätzlichen Ressource, die von dem Industrieunternehmen Trédi bereitgestellt wird, wird das Netz 2024 die Marke von 150 Gigawattstunden zurückgewonnener Energie überschreiten und das Äquivalent von 30.000 Wohnungen versorgen, einschließlich des Coop-Viertels, der Klinik Rhéna, des Sitzes der Ports de Strasbourg, der Malteries Soufflet und der Schule des Port du Rhin. Diese von der Ademe stark geförderte kohlenstofffreie Energie steht heute im Mittelpunkt der Dekarbonisierungsstrategie der Eurometropole. Am Donnerstag, dem 11. April, wurde in zwei Diskussionsrunden mit Experten, Industriellen und Straßburger Abgeordneten vor über hundert Gästen über das Projekt und seine Perspektiven berichtet.
