Séché Eco Services obtains the Qualipyro label: a first for a multidisciplinary decontamination company

Séché Eco Services has taken a new step in its development by becoming the first multidisciplinary decontamination company to obtain Qualipyro certification for diagnostic and pyrotechnic decontamination work. This certification, awarded by the Union Professionnelle des Entreprises de Dépollution Pyrotechnique (UXO), confirms the company's technical expertise and operational excellence in this highly specialized field.

Getting this label is an important guarantee of quality and reliability for customers of Séché Eco Services, a subsidiary of the Séché Environnement group specializing in remediation work on polluted sites. The Qualipyro certification, awarded by the UXO, l'union professionnelle des entreprises de dépollution pyrotechnique, indeed distinguishes service providers in dépollution pyrotechnique who possess the elements of organization, methods, professional skills but also the knowledge of exigences déontologiques necessary to guarantee the reliability and quality of their services on French territory.

This recognition comes after a rigorous audit process, during which Séché Eco Services demonstrated its compliance with the 54 common requirements of the label, the 12 requirements specific to pyrotechnic decontamination work and the 13 requirements relating to pyrotechnic diagnosis work.

Expertise forged in the field

Séché Eco Services' application for the Qualipyro label is part of a continuous improvement approach and recognition of its expertise acquired over more than 10 years in the field of pyrotechnic decontamination. This activity, which requires advanced technical skills and highly specialized equipment, had recently found a concrete illustration on the emblematic site of the former Frontignan refinery (34), where a 250 kg bomb dating from the Second World War had been discovered and then neutralized without a hitch by the Sécurité Civile, in early 2025. The audit drew in particular on the expertise demonstrated by Séché Eco Services teams during these operations.

A unique positioning on the market

With this labeling, Séché Eco Services becomes the third company in France to obtain the certification Qualipyro for pyrotechnic decontamination work, but above all the first multidisciplinary decontamination company to benefit from this recognition. Specializing in the treatment of chemical pollution, asbestos waste management and the treatment of soil contaminated by hydrocarbons or heavy metals, the company is now fully recognized as a certified provider of pyrotechnic decontamination services. This unique market position enables the company to offer its customers a comprehensive, integrated approach to depollution, combining its pyrotechnic expertise with its other know-how in rehabilitation of polluted sites and soils.

“This Qualipyro certification represents the culmination of ten years' investment and development of our pyrotechnical expertise within the Séché Environnement Group. Today, it enables us to offer our customers a complete, certified range of services, from diagnostics to clean-up work, including site safety. This is a major asset when it comes to rehabilitating industrial and urban wasteland.”

Nicolas Piron

Director of Pyrotechnic Depollution at Séché Eco Services

The label Qualipyro, valid for three years, reinforces Séché Eco Services' ability to support its customers in their most complex projects, requiring intervention on terrain presenting pyrotechnic and pyrochemical risks. France, which has been the scene of two world wars and numerous bombings, is particularly affected by this type of risk. In fact, regulations require that serious precautions be taken before and during worksites, in large swathes of the country.

This new stage in the development of the company's activities is a major step forward

This new step fits in perfectly with the development strategy of the Séché Environnement group, which continues to invest in innovation and operational excellence to meet the growing challenges of cleaning up industrial sites and urban wasteland. It also confirms the company's commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in all its operations.
