#1 ENERGY AND CLIMATE
In line with the Paris Agreement, which aims to contain global warming (+2% maximum), the Group has set ambitious targets. To achieve them, we have set up a detailed, quantified plan to reduce our GHG emissions*. At the same time, our solutions for recovering recyclable materials and the energy contained in waste contribute to reducing our customers’ emissions.
#2 CIRCULAR ECONOMY
Given the stakes involved in the depletion of natural resources and, more globally, the potential impact of their exploitation on the environment, a more thrifty organization is becoming crucial. Our commitments, solutions and actions, based on the circular economy model, enable a decoupling between economic growth and material consumption.
#3 WATER CYCLE
The situation of countries with regard to water resources is uneven, but in the face of the impacts of climate change on our environment, water stress and water shortages are multiplying. This has led to a growing awareness of the importance of sustainable water management. To this end, we are stepping up our actions to preserve water resources at our sites, and deploying our solutions for industrial water and wastewater treatment
#4 RISK AND HAZARD MANAGEMENT
On our own sites, the health and safety of our employees is a top priority. We are stepping up preventive measures, and have carried out an analysis of the risks associated with climate change. Our expertise in hazards also enables us to offer our customers assistance, remediation and emergency solutions to better prevent environmental and climatic industrial risks and minimize impacts on health and the environment.
#5 POLLUTION AND BIODIVERSITY PRESERVATION
At a time of global erosion of biodiversity, companies have a major role to play: avoiding and reducing our impacts on biodiversity and, beyond that, actively contributing to the protection and restoration of ecosystems. Our strategy, called Sustainable Action for Nature (DNA), covers environmental protection around Group sites, ecosystem management, species preservation and deployment across our entire value chain.
