Robotic sorting
bio-waste and household waste.

The elected representatives of SYDOM Aveyron have decided to equip the region with a self-contained facility for the treatment of household waste and sorting refuse, with the aim of recovering as much waste as possible, in line with the national guidelines reaffirmed by the Occitanie Region in its Regional Waste Prevention and Management Plan.
Kerea processes exclusively non-hazardous waste such as:
- biowaste from sorting at source (distribution of orange bags to residents),
- household waste,
- refuse sorting from selective packaging collections,
- all waste from the territory's waste collection centers,
- Waste from economic activities (DAE).
Kerea produces:
- biogas through methanization,
- Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF), a low-carbon fuel suitable for certain industrial furnaces (cement plants...),
- compost from source-separated bio-waste
- recovered recyclable materials, mainly metals.
So Kerea makes it possible to process household waste locally and recover 70% of it (material, energy or compost). In particular, it incorporates a robotized sorting system, equipped with artificial intelligence and compatible with the solution
