Precise and safe procedures
Each client must submit a preliminary request for the acceptance of waste.
It provides the waste treatment plant with an identification sheet and representative sample. The laboratory analyzes the waste. If the waste is accepted, the client is issued a preliminary acceptance certificate (CAP) number valid for one year. A quote is then drawn up.
On the day of waste removal, the client gives the collector a tally sheet (BSD) to be completed by the waste producer, transporter and waste treatment facility. When the waste arrives at the treatment facility, the documents are checked, and the collected waste is compared against the preliminary sample.
For dispersed hazardous waste (DHW), the client draws up a list with the company name, processing treatment and quantity. The Group's chemical experts can provide assistance with this list, which is provided along with safety information sheets and any necessary technical information. Once validated, a CAP number is assigned.
Traceability is proof of waste treatment
The tally sheet is a regulatory requirement (CERFA No. 12571*01 downloadable at http://www.cerfa.gouv.fr) and must be completed by the producer, transporter and waste treatment facility, which returns it to the producer as proof of waste treatment.
