Storage

Séché Environnement manages a number of waste storage facilities that comply with particularly strict requirements on long-term environmental and safety performance (ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001).
The Group meets the needs of local authorities, industrial clients, craftsmen and merchants.

Traceability for greater reliability
The Group's waste acceptance policy is designed to meet a number of objectives: assess waste, offer the best adapted waste treatment or recovery solution and initiate traceability which continues throughout the entire waste handling process. Traceability continues on the sites using a three-dimensional GPS tracking system.

Very safe sites that are open to the public
With a view to very long-term security, storage sites are built according to Séché Environnement's proprietary standards, which go beyond simple regulatory requirements in terms of impermeability and control. The Group encourages transparency and the promotion of the social role of its business. Site tours are organized for all kinds of visitors.

CLASS II WASTE
Recovery solutions
The Group's storage sites accept household waste, urban sludge, slag and non-hazardous industrial waste. The facilities use systems that optimize the production of biogas in order to increase energy recovery and prevent greenhouse gases. Leachates are treated by reverse osmosis or evapo-incineration. Séché Environnement is also developing a technique to manufacture an energy-producing fuel derived from waste.

CLASS I WASTE
Waste may need to be stabilized
The waste accepted is hazardous waste, polluted soil or residues from the purification of fumes. The patented Piertec process is used to stabilize certain types of hazardous industrial waste before it is stored in landfill cells.
