Depending on its nature, this waste can be treated in various ways, including:
- pH neutralization (acid-base)
- treatment of ion-exchanging resins
- cracking of oily emulsions by centrifugation and separation of phases.
Biological treatment can be applied to this waste individually or as a finishing treatment.
